The implementation of evidence-based clinical decision support in the
emergency department was associated with a significant (20.1%) decrease
in the use, and a significant (69.0%) increase in the yield, of CT
pulmonary angiography for the evaluation of acute pulmonary embolism
during a 2-year period.
